Urban Mobility Lab Intern

Transport for Cairo (TfC) is seeking an Urban Mobility Intern to join one of Egypt’s leading boutique professional services firms.

S/he would be part of our Urban Mobility team,  responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our urban mobility projects through meticulous administrative and project support. By integrating seamlessly into our dynamic team, the intern will play a crucial role in the operational success of our initiatives.

Your Responsibilities 

We are looking for an Urban Mobility Intern will contribute to the successful design and implementation of transportation projects underpinning the TfC mobility vision. The Urban Mobility Lab Intern will be responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our urban mobility projects through meticulous administrative and project support. By integrating seamlessly into our dynamic team, the intern will play a crucial role in the operational success of our initiatives. The Intern will be working closely with the Urban Mobility Projects Manager1.

  • Meeting Preparation and Documentation Support: Draft meeting agendas based on project manager inputs, attend all project-related meetings, and accurately record discussions and decisions.
  • Progress Reporting: Compile and prepare bi-weekly and monthly progress reports using the specified templates. Collect performance data and inputs from team members, ensuring reports reflect current project statuses and milestones.
  • Register Maintenance: Regularly update the document control register, risk register, and meetings register. Ensure all entries are accurate and reflect the latest information.
  • Project Management Support: Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, support the coordination of project schedules.

Role Requirements

We are looking for a motivated self-starter who thrives in ambitious, international, and fast-changing environments. A keen interest to learn, work on the forefront of sustainable urban mobility and emerging cities is vital for success in this position.

  • Educational Background: Final-year student or recent graduate in Architecture, Urbanism, Urban Planning, Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or Business with an interest in sustainable transport.
  • Experience: Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (PowerPoint, Excel and Word), with knowledge in other presentational and organizational products or multi-media tools being an advantage
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; fluency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
  • Characteristics: A motivated self-starter who thrives in ambitious, international, and fast-changing environments.
