Orascom and Arab Contractors, working as a joint venture, commissioned Transport for Cairo to produce a series of multimodal network maps for Cairo’s Monorail system, covering both the East of Nile (EoN) and West of Nile (WoN) lines. The maps were developed to serve as a consistent passenger-facing and planning-oriented reference, showcasing the Monorail lines and stations while clearly illustrating connections to Cairo’s wider transit network, including all operating Metro and LRT services. The scope of work included the design and licensing of a complete set of customized maps for all 35 stations across the two Monorail corridors. This covered the full cartographic and visual system, including base map design, line geometry and station placement, stop and station symbology, iconography, and the integration of relevant points of interest. The work was delivered in close coordination with multiple beneficiaries and stakeholders, including the National Authority for Tunnels, Orascom, Hill International, and Arab Contractors, to ensure a harmonized design language and consistent user experience across both corridors.
