Transport for Cairo (TfC) is seeking an Envrionmental Graphic Designer to join our team.

Transport for Cairo (TfC) is seeking a talented Environmental Graphic Designer to join our team in improving the public transport experience through clear, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing Passenger Information Systems (PIS). This role involves designing station maps, wayfinding, and information displays for a major high speed rail station, ensuring passengers have reliable and easy-to-understand information. The position is project-based and full-time, with a focus on delivering key milestones by the end of September. 

Your Responsibilities 

• Conduct context analysis by studying the surrounding urban environment, circulation patterns, pedestrian behavior, decision point analysis, and station zoning to inform wayfinding strategies.
• Create station maps, local area maps, and network maps that communicate information clearly to diverse user groups.
• Design intuitive wayfinding systems & concepts, including messaging hierarchy, iconography, typography, color systems, and material recommendations.
• Present design concepts visually and verbally to clients and team members through mock-ups, prototypes, and presentation materials.
• Produce high-resolution digital files for displays and prints, manage source files for consistency, and prepare a comprehensive handover package with all specifications

Position Requirements 

• Ability to work effectively with an agile team, maintaining close communication with both local and international stakeholders.
• Advanced Knowledge of Illustrator is a must.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCad is a must.
• Working with a 3D rendering program is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Applied Arts or similar.
• Ability to travel domestically/internationally as could be needed.
• English – high proficiency, verbal & written communication
• Arabic – high proficiency, verbal & written communication
